Door Supervision

If you wish to build a career in the industry of private security as a door supervisor, it is necessary for you to undertake a training session before applying for the SIA (Security Industry Authority) recognised license.
The LASER Level 2 Award in Door Supervision (QCF) meets the training and licensing requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) which regulates the sector under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act 2001
Individuals working in the private security industry must undergo a structured training programme, resulting in one of the recognised security qualifications. Applicants who do not hold a qualification endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) may have their licence application refused.
The SIA licence fee is NOT included in the course fees. The licence fees of £220.00 is payable directly to the SIA after successful completion of the Door Supervision course

Awarding Body: Laser Learning Awards is the lead body accountable to the regulators for Trident Awards
Course contents:
Unit 1: working in the private security industry
Unit 2: working as a door supervisor
Unit 3: Conflict Management
Unit 4: Physical Intervention

DURATION: At Lilly Angel of Learning the duration of the course is 4 days
Assessment: There are 3 multiple-choice exams to complete on the exam day of the course and assessment for Physical Intervention.
CERTIFICATE DELIVERY TIME: Certificates are available within 10-15 working days (Standard time); however, it might take longer in an unforeseeable event.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no specific restrictions on learner entry; however, learners will need to demonstrate competence in the use of the English language (both oral and written); read and interpret given tasks leading to answers that are clear, logical and understandable. They will need to be able to make decisions based on underpinning knowledge.
Learners must be a minimum of 18 years of age to undertake the qualification, in line with the minimum age for an SIA licence requirement.
